Tellas, a young multimedia artist, shoots his first animation video, “On Marni”, for marni.com and for Anticamera – Marni’s  online magazine. The essential, modular feature of his black-and-white drawings comes to life in the video as an oneiric, poetic tale. Lines, broken into numerous tiny segments; rolling spheres; then natural elements (e.g. a little bird) and metropolitan ones (e.g. a street lamp), occupy the empty space of the video-page in a flow of unrelenting and evocative metamorphoses, which suggest the continuous evolution of life. Also the mural painted by Tellas on the warehouse/workshop in Pioltello (Milan) derives from this artist’s collaboration with Marni.

On the occasion of Miami Art Basel, 29th November – 6th December 2011, the Marni store windows in Miami will be dressed with stickers reproducing a sequence of the “On Marni” video and with screens loop-broadcasting the entire Tellas video as well as the backstage video concerning the creation of the mural on the Marni warehouse in Pioltello.

The same videos are also broadcast by synchronized screens positioned within the store. As an exclusive for the Marni virtual store, Tellas designed a T-shirt and shopping bag collection. During Miami Art Basel, as an exception, these T-shirts are also for sale in Marni’s Miami store.
