BEHIND THE SCENES
MARNI F/W 2012 – 2013
decoration turns into construction
an air of grace and rigor runs through
prints are used as an accent: a single outsized flower
panels of mink and felted wool recreate the strictness of a man’s coat
Soon online a special project related to the collaboration MARNI at H&M: a collection of unique pieces exclusively on marni.com!
The palette is innocent and bright, with organic undertones: notes of aqua, pink, yellow are interspersed with flashes of white, brown and rust. Prints are either graphic or naturalistic: b/w stripes, Bauhaus and circle motifs and then glass prints and summer patterns. In pure Marni style.
MARNI … A QUIET ELEGANCE
MARIECLAIRE ITALIA – MARZO 2012
… Her boho-art-chic style…
The exception to the rule will be on March 8, when H&M will unveil, in its 260 stores in the world, a limited edition of Marni (name chosen by the nickname of Gianni Castiglioni’s sister).
“They tell me that my clothes represent individual creations, which do not follow the trends but the proper taste. They dress but don’t cover ones personality” (Consuelo Castiglioni)
… A quiet elegance …
“We always rework everything to make it our own: like the dotted Bauhaus that I joined to the tribal prints. I can quote some of my favorite artists that come to mind now as Gary Hume, Peter Blake, Tellas or the singer Kim Gordon” … (Consuelo Castiglioni)

Backstage realized by The Pastis – the two artists, Marco & Saverio Lanza – shot during their visual performance within the Marni warehouse in Milan, where the first Marni Edition store had been rebuilt. The design by the Pastis is therefore the video memory of a day in the laboratory; created to be transformed into printed images on imaginative wallpaper.
